Craft Class - An Introduction to Bargello

Bargello is a type of embroidery that dates back to the 17th Century. Traditionally, Bargello was stitched in wool on canvas because it made it very durable and suitable for use on upholstery, cushions, or even carpets. Bargello is generally worked in a series of straight (or long) stitches in a mathematical pattern to create motifs that are often repeated within the design, and worked in complimentary colours to give a striking result. In this Bargello Craft Class, Roz will show you the basics of Bargello Embroidery, and provide you with a stitching chart and all materials you will need to make a set of 4 Bargello Coasters. No previous experience is necessary, although you will be able to work at a faster pace if you already have a basic knowledge of how to work with a needle and thread. Make sure to take a look at the other Craft Classes they run including the Macrame Wall Hanging Class, Crochet Basket Class, Greeting Card Making Class and 3D Paper Sculpture Classes such as their Bunny Gift Box, Evening Bag Gift Box, BBQ Gift Box and Peony Flower Gift Box.
