In the mornings Kookaburras and Magpies will sing as you wake with the first rays of sun seeping through the leaves and branches. The clean, fresh air and peaceful setting is medicine for the soul from the busy world. Situated less than 2 kilometres from the Heysen Trail, Longwood Retreat is the perfect spot to rest your head after a long day of hiking, exploring nearby Stirling or Hahndorf townships, sampling the wares of local wineries and cellar doors or making the most of the greater Adelaide Hills region at large. At Longwood Retreat we provide amenities including fresh towels, bathroom supplies and cooking essentials (oil, condiments etc) to make your experience as comfortable as possible. A container guest kitchen is also available (with BBQ adjacent) along with a shared pantry where you can store fresh produce from local markets. A short walk from the two accommodation blocks is a large recreational hall which includes a huge communal living and dining area with large combustion heater, comfy couches and an assortment of games including table tennis and foosball.
