Whether you phone, email or visit, the friendly staff and volunteers at the Adelaide Hills Visitor Information Centre in Hahndorf will engage with you, inspire you, help you with bookings, and share the tips and stories that will make your visit even better.

The Visitor Information Centre provides a professionally managed and non-profit service run purely to enhance your visitor experience and grow local tourism in the region. The Centre is run by the Mount Barker District Council with additional support from Adelaide Hills Tourism.

The Centre is fully accredited, with policies and procedures that have been established and audited against a national standard to ensure the best possible service to visitors. Staff and volunteers (mostly locals) are well trained and passionate about the Adelaide Hills region.

Visitor services include:

  • bookings for accommodation, tours and car hire

  • event and attraction entry tickets

  • a limited souvenir and retail range

  • visitor information (including brochures and maps) for the Adelaide Hills and South Australia

  • local and regional tourism and business information

Opening hours:

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic the Adelaide Hills Visitor Information Centre in Hahndorf has temporarily changed its operating hours to 10am to 4pm daily including weekends and public holidays (closed Christmas Day).
